One of our biggest fundraising events of the year is just around the corner! Omaha Gives is a 24-hour, online fundraising event. It’s dedicated to nonprofit organizations in the Metro area, which of course, includes Promise 4 Paws.
How it works
Beginning at midnight on May 20th, visit our dedicated Omaha Gives site and click on the “Donate Now” button. Minimum donations are $10. You will receive a receipt and all donations are tax-deductible.
The money raised throughout the day on May 20th isn’t the only way Promise 4 Paws can win. Omaha Gives also offers bonuses and incentives for participating nonprofits. Organizations can earn extra money based on the number of individual donors or the size of donations, so it’s important to tell your family and friends to participate, too!
What it does
The money raised through Omaha Gives provides food, medical care and a comfortable home for our senior dogs. Many of our dogs have special dietary restrictions and need medication. We currently have 17 dogs in the sanctuary. On average, we spend about $1,000 every month on medication. That doesn’t count the flea and tick medicine we need for the next few months, and it doesn’t count special vet visits or emergencies, so every penny raised is important!
Last year we raised $8,500. The entire amount went to our vet bill. This year, our goal is $10,000 which would cover our current vet bill and a few months of medication. We can reach that goal with your help! Click the link above and schedule your donation today.
Omaha Gives begins at midnight, May 20, 2015. For more information visit www.omahagives24.org. Click on “Nonprofits” to find Promise 4 Paws, or visit our link directly here.
